Visit of Charles II to the 'Tiger' at Woolwich: The yachts rounding a bend in the river
Several yachts float under sail in a light breeze rounding a bend in the river. In the centre foreground is the 'Charlotte' (de siarlet), seen from a stern view. On her port bow is the 'Cleveland', identified by an inscription beneath it (klevelant), and the 'Mary' (marij). Further to the left is another ship at anchor. On the right is the 'Isabella' bezan yacht, inscribed with 'Isabel' at the bottom of the drawing. Beyond her, in the background, is another ship identified as the 'Henrietta' (? Henriete), which has a flag at her masthead and the 'Kitchen' Captain Crow (kroo) behind her. Ahead of the 'Henrietta' is another vessel, identified as the 'Merlin' and inscribed with merlen.
The drawing is one in a series, and is continued by the depiction of No. 34 (Yachts passing the 'Tiger') in the Scheepvaart Museum, Amsterdam.
