Scale: 1:96. A full hull model of the D-Type general cargo ships War Arrow (1917), War Drum (1917), War Fife (1917) and War Visor (1917) made entirely in wood with metal and organic material fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted pink below the waterline, black above. The hull has a three-island layout and fittings include gold-plated anchors stowed at the port and starboard bows; eight pairs of scuppers; six pairs of portholes at the raised stern-end; and single four-bladed propeller. Other features include a short forecastle; two hatches on the forward cargo deck served by a single derrick mast and two booms between them; main superstructure placed amidships accommodating bridge and bridge wings, mast, single black-painted funnel and white-painted ship’s boats; paravanes; aft cargo deck with the same layout as the forward deck; and a single 4.7 inch gun mounted on the poop deck. The model is currently mounted on a pair of modern tubular pillar supports and displayed on a modern rectangular fibreboard painted baseboard.
